Yes. Cell is the basic unit of life. Life of every organism begins from a single cell.
In unicellular organism, life completes in a single cell itself and in multicellular organisms, all cells of the body are formed from single cell zygote.
The activities of an organism is the sum total of all the activities performed by its components.
Groups of cells that have similar structure and function constitute a tissue. Group of tissues aggregate together to form organ. Group of organs combine to form the organ system and in turn various organ systems assemble together to form an individual.
