Why are lysosomes called 'suicide bags' of the cell ?

Organic waste is generated after metabolic activities and this waste is digested by lysosomes. By the process of autolysis, they remove worn out debris from cellular organelles. Hence, they act as cell waste disposal system. Lysosomes participate in the digestion of food material under diseased condition or when the cell gets old or damaged, lysosomes burst, and the enzymes digest their own cells. Hence, these are known as suicidal bags of the cell. They also destroy bacteria or any other foreign bodies entering the cell. Hence, these are called demolition squads of the cell.
