The phenomenon of guttation indicates that root pressure causes passive mode of absorption and transport. Justify.

Due to the root pressure created within the roots, the water enters the roots even when there is sufficient water in the cells. When the transpiration is low, transpiration pull becomes insignificant. This excess water exudes from the leaves and is seen as water droplets on the leaf margins. This phenomenon is known as guttation.
