Tissue respiration:
• It is a metabolic process by which oxygen reaches the body cells and carbon dioxide is released from them. Oxygen enters the cells through the process of diffusion.
• Diffusion of oxygen takes place due to the higher concentration of oxygen in the blood than that in the cells.
• Diffusion of carbon dioxide (formed due to the cellular respiration) takes place due to its higher concentration in the cells than that in the blood.
