The brain does not get easily damaged even when there is a minor mechanical injury to the head. Give reason.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Brain is composed of a soft and delicate tissue. However, it is enclosed in a hard bony structure called cranium. Protective membranes called meninges are also present in the space between the cranium and brain. Additionally, a fluid called cerebrospinal fluid fills the spaces between the meninges. This fluid provides protection for the brain by absorbing the mechanical shocks. Hence, the brain does not get damaged by minor mechanical injury to the head.
