What lesson had India taught humanity by gaining Independence?

It had been so long since India was being ruled by the Britishers. The Englishmen came here for business and trade purposes but they perceived Indians as soft-hearted people who were innocent enough and they thought they could control them. Being the victims of injustice, torture, or even oppression, we did not attain freedom by involving bloodbaths or massive killing of people. Though Indians were fighting, the fire of insurgency was there in their hearts but still, they did not kill Englishmen or Britishers on a very big scale. By this, the Indians gave a great lesson to the whole of humanity that ‘war brings nothing but loss, huge loss of lives and land and many other things.’
