Condoms act as barriers that are used to cover the penis in the male or vagina and cervix in the female, just before. the coitus (sexual intercourse) so that the ejaculated semen is not allowed to enter into the female reproductive tract. Conception can be prevented by this.
Condoms have an additional advantage of protecting the user from contracting Sexually Transmitted Diseases(STD.s) and Infections.
