What is the value of the rate constant, ...

What is the value of the rate constant, predicated by the Arrhenius's equation if `Trarroo` ? It this value phyiscally resonable?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

If `Trarroo, k=Ae^(Ea//RT)= Ae^(0)=A`
i.e., rate constant`=`colliison frequency which is not feaisble.
Alternatively
If `k=Ae^(-Ea//RT)=1`
`:. (E_(a))/(RT)=0, E_(a)=0`
Since the activation energy cannot be zero, the result is not phyiscally reasonable.
