Peroxysomes and glyoxysomes are called microbodies. Glyoxysomes contain the enzymes, of glyoxylate cycle which convert stored lipid into carbohydrates. Peroxysomes contain enzymes which convert fatty acids into carbohydrates and in photorespiration.
