Hydrogenation is the process of addition of hydrogen .Unsaturated hydrocarbons are added with hydrogen in the presence of palladoum and nickel catalysts to given satureated hydrocarbons.
This reaction is applied in the hydrogenation of vegetables oils ,which contain long chains of unsaturated carbons.
