Standard potential for the reaction `Li^(+)(aq) + e^(-) to Li(s)` is `-3.05 V`. It is least among all reduction potentials. This is because of high stability of aqueous lithium cation due to greater hydration. Smaller the reduction potential greater is the reduction ability of the metal.
