What are the speeds of two objects if they move uniformly towards each other, they get 4 m closer in each second and if they move uniformly in the same direction with the original speeds they get 4 m closer in each 10 sec?

Let their speeds be `v_(1)` and `v_(2)` and le t`v_(1) gt v_(2)`
In First Case:
In second case:
Relative velocity, `v_(1) -v_(2) =4/10 = 0.4`…….(2)
Solving eqns. (1) and (2), we get
`v_(1) =2.2 ms^(-1), v_(2) =1.8 ms^(-1)`
