An electric lamp having coil of negligible inductance connetced in series with a capacitar and an AC source is glowing with certain brightness. How does the brightness of the lamp change on reducing the (i) capacitance, and (ii) the frequency ? Justify your answer.

Brightness of the lamp decreases. This is because on reducing `C, X_(C)` increases Z increases and I decreases.
