(i) Ambident ligand : Ligand which can Ligate throught tow differnet atom is called ambident ligand. Example `NO_(2)^(-),SCN^(-), CN^(-)NO_(2)^(_)`can link throught 'N' as well as oxgyen while `SCN^(-)` can link through S' as well N atom.
(ii) Denticity of a ligand: The number of ligating : The number of ligating atoms present in ligand is called denticity of ligand eq.
