A magnetic field of 100 G (1 G = 10^-4 T) is required which is uniform in a region of linear dimension about 10 cm and area of cross-section about 10^-3 m^2 . The maximum current-carrying capacity of a given coil of wire is 15 A and the number of turns per unit length that can be wound round a core is at most 1000 turns m^-1 . Suggest some appropriate design particulars of a solenoid for the required purpose. Assume the core is not ferromagnetic.

A vessel of uniform cross-section of length 500 cm as shown in figure is divided in two parts by a weightless and frictionless piston one part contains 5 moles of He(g) and other part 2 moles of H_(2)(g) and 4 moles of O_(2)(g) added at the same temperature and pressure in which reaction takes place finally vessel cooled to 300 K and 1 atm. What is the length of He compartment? (Assume volume of piston and vol. of H_(2)O(l) formed are negligible)
