The correct Answer is:
A, C, D

For local length of given lens
Using lensmaker's formula
`1/f=(mu-1)(1/R_1-1/R_2)`
`=(1.5-1)(1/10-1/(-10))`
`=0.5x2/10`
`rarr f=10 cm `

We know that the image is formed at focus of conve lens when object is at infinity.

In figure , L is half part of an equiconvex glass lens (mu=1.5) whose surfaces have radius of curvature R =40cm and its right surface is silvered . Normal to its principal axis a plane mirror M is placed on right of the lens . Distance between lens L and mirror M is b. A small object O is placed on left of the lens such that there is no parallax between final images formed by the lens and mirror. If transverse length of final image formed by lens is twice that of image formed by the mirror , calculate distance'a' in cm between lens and object.

A plano convex lens of refractive index 1.5 and radius of curvature 30cm. Is silvered at the curved surface. Now this lens has been used to form the image of an object. At what distance from this lens an object be placed in order to have a real image of size of the object.

A converging lens of focal length 20 cm and diameter 5 cm is cut along the line AB . The part of the lens shown shaded in the diagram is now used to form an image of a point P placed 30 cm away from it on the line XY which is perpendicular to the plane of the lens. The image of P will be formed.

A point object is kept at a distance of 2 m from a parabolic reflecting surface y^(2) = 2x . An equiconvex lens is kept at a distance of 1.80 m from the parabolic surface. The focal length of the lens is 20 cm . Find the position from origin of the image in cm, after reflection from the surface.

Consider a concave mirror and a convex lens (refractive index 1.5) of focal length 10 cm each separated by a distance of 50 cm in air (refractive index = 1) as shown in the Fig. An object is placed at a distance of 15 cm from the mirror. Its erect image formed by this combination has magnification M_1 . When this set up is kept in a medium of refractive index 7//6 , the magnification becomes M_2 . The magnitude ((M_2)/(M_1)) is : .

A slab of glass, of thickness 6 cm and refractive index mu =1.5 is placed in front of a concave mirror. If the radius of curvature of the mirror is 40 cm and the reflected image coincides with the object, then the distance of the object from the mirror is
