The frequency of beats is `|v_1-v_2|` which is 3Hz according to the problem. The frequency of the tuning form B is either 3Hz more of 3 Hz less than the frequency of A. Thus, it coud be either 381 Hz or 387Hz.

A tuning fork P of unknown frequency gives 7 beats in 2 seconds with another tuning fork Q is moved towards a wall with a speed of 5 m//s , it gives 5 beats per second for an observer located left to it. On filling, P gives 6 beat per second with Q . The frequency (in Hz) of P is given by (80 xx alpha)+beta, (alpha, beta in I, 0 le alpha, beta le 9) then find the value of alpha + beta . Assume speed of sound = 332 m//s .

A column of air at 51^(@) C and a tuning fork produce 4 beats per second when sounded together. As the temperature of the air column is decreased, the number of beats per second tends to decrease and when the temperature is 16^(@) C the two produce 1 beat per second.
