Here given , Capacitance of each capacitor
` C = 0.05 xx 10^(-6) F`
charge `q = 1 mu C `
which is given upper palte `= 5 mu C ` of charges appear on the outer and inner side of the upper plate and ` 5 mu C` of charge also seen on the middle
(a) charge of each plate `= 5mu C`
Capacitance `= 0.05 mu F `
`rArr v = 10 V `
(b) The charge of lower plates is also equal to` 0.5 mu C `
`B = 10V`
The potential is 10V .

An electron passes between two parallel plate of a capacitor as shown in the diagram. The electron enters the plate at t=0 and it comes out of the plates at time t=T. The electron hits the screen at A, as shown. Now a time varying potential difference V is applied between the plates, as shown in the graph. (Neglect the gravity). The point where the electron now will strike (as compared to point A) will be

Light of wavelength lambda_(ph) falls on a cathode plate inside a vacuum tube as shown in the figure .The work function of the cathode surface is phi and the anode is a wire mesh of conducting material kept at distance d from the cathode. As shown in the right figure, a point light source is placed at distance 2f from a lens with focus length f. and a screen is placed at 4f from the lens. The lens is then cut at the middle into two equal portions: upper half and lower half. the upper half is moved upwards by a small distance d comparable to the light wavelength and the lower half is moved downwards by the same distance d. What is the light pattern on the screen?

Two plates of equal areas are placed in contact wih each other. Their thickness are 2.0 cm and 5.0 cm respectively. The temperature of the external surface of the first plate is -20^(@)C and that of the external surface of the second plate is 20^(@)C . What will be the temperature of the current surface if the plates (i) are of the same material, (ii) have thermal conductivities in the ratio 2:5 .
