In a resonance tube experiment, `3^(rd)` resonance occurs at 111 cm and `5^(th)` resonance occurs at 200 cm. Find the end correction (in cm).

The correct Answer is:
`00000.25`

`(5lamda)/4=l_1+e......(i)`
`(9lamda)/4-l_2+e.....(ii)`
From (i) and (ii)
`lamda = l_2 -l_1 = 200 - 111 = 89 ` cm
From (i) , end correction
`e=(5lamda)/4-l_1 =5/4 xx89 -111`
`implies e = 0.25 cm`
