Case Study-1: Some friends of class X goes to picnic at waterpark. There were slides i.e. water coaster, aqua loop and launch chamber slide.
The graph below shows the position of these 3 slides by point P, Q and R.

If we shift the origin 'O' by 2 units towards right and 1 unit towards. North. Then find the coordinate of point R:

A

(10, 4)

B

(6, 2)

C

(6, 3)

D

(8, 3)

This graph shows a map of an island just off the coast of a continent. The point labelled B represents a major city on the coast. The distance between grid lines represents 1 km. Point A represents a resort that is located 5 km East and 3 km North of Point B. The values 5 and 3 are the coordinates of Point A. The coordinates can be given as the ordered pair (5, 3), where 5 is the horizontal coordinate and 3 is the vertical coordinate. (i) On a copy of the map, mark the point that is 3 km East and 5 km North of Point B and label it S. Is Point S in the water or on the island? Is Point S in the same place as Point A? (ii) Mark the point that is 7 km east and 5 km north of Point B and label it C. Then mark the point that is 5 km east and 7 km north of Point B and label it D. Are Points C and D in the same place? Give the coordinates of Points C and D. (iii) Which point is in the water, (2, 7) or (7, 2)? Mark the point which is in water on your map and label it E. (iv) Give the coordinates of two points on the island that are exactly 2 km from Point A. (v) Give the coordinates of the point that is halfway between Points L and P. (vi) List three points on the island with their x-coordinates greater than 8. (vii) List three points on the island with a y-coordinate less than 4.

Due to corona pandemic, we need to follow certain rules i.e. social distancing, washing of hands etc. Three friends namely, Pratima, Qasim and Rajni went to a park to discuss something. They decided to maintain the social distancing due to CORONAVIRUS pandemic and sat at the points P, Q and R respectively. If the coordinates of P, Q and R are ( 14 - 3), (7, 3) and (8, 5) repsectively, then answer the following: If a tree is at the point X, which is on the straight line joining Q and R such that it divides the distance between them in the ratio of 1:2, then, the coordinates of X are:

Consider a point object of mass 'm' moving in a circle of radius a=1m. For any instantaneous position of the object, theta is the angle that the radial line joining the object and the centre makes with the position X-axis of a cartesian coordinate system with the centre of circle O as the origin. hati and hatj are unit vectors along X- axis and Y-axis, respectively . Suppose that the motion is a 'Unifrom Circular Motion ' with a constant angular speed (pi)/(36) rad//sec and that the sense of rotation is counterclockwise with theta = 0 at t = 0 . For an object which moves in a circle , it is usually convenient to introduce two mutually perpendicular unit vectors hatr_(r) and hatr_(t) , as shown in the fig 3.57. Here hatr_(r) is the radial unit vector and hatr_(t) , the tangential unit vector. Answer the following questions : For any position of the objected P, the tangential unit vector can be expressed as :
