Find the current through the `3Omega` resistor.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Let the current through `3 Omega` resistor be I
`therefore ` the current through `6 Omega` resistor will be `(9-I).`
Since `3 Omega and 6 Omega` reistor are in parallel combination, the potential drop across each will be same
`implies 3 xx I = 6 (9- I)`
`implies 3 I = 54 - 6I`
`implies 9I = 54`
`implies I = 6 A`
