As per given figure to complete the circular loop what should be the radius if initial height is 5 m

A

4 m

B

3 m

C

2.5 m

D

2 m

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
D

Velocity at lowest point
`v = sqrt(2gh) = sqrt(2 xx 10 xx 15) = 10 m//s`
Since, minimum velocity to complete the circular loop.
`v_("min") = sqrt(5gR)`
Now, `rArr 10 = sqrt(5gR) rArr R = 2m`
