Since, `DeltaQ = DeltaU + DeltaW`
For adiabatic process, `Delta Q=0, DeltaU= -DeltaW`
During an adiabatic expansion. `Delta W rarr` +ve, `DeltaU rarr ` -ve so internal energy decreases and temperature of the system decreases.
For an adiabatic process `PV^(gamma)` = constant
Hence, `P. V.^(gamma) = PV^(gamma)implies P=P((V)/(V.))^(gamma)`
As `V. gt V, gamma gt 1` Hence, `P. lt P`.
