Two identical metallic square loops L(1)...

Two identical metallic square loops `L_(1) " and " L_(2)` are placed next to each other with their sides parallel on a smooth horizontal table. Loop `L_(1)` is fixed and a current which increases as a function of time is passed through it. Then loop `L_(2)`

A

Rotates about its centre of mass

B

Moves towards `L_(1)`

C

Remains stationary

D

Moves away from `L_(1)`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
D

When current through L, increases then flux linked through `L_(2)` will increase.
According to Lewz.s law `L_(2)` will move away.
