निम्नलिखित गद्यांश के आधार पर प्रश्नों के सही विकल्प चुनिये मनु बहन ने पूरे दिन की डायरी लिखी, लेकिन एक जगह लिख दिया, 'सफाई वगैरह की। गांधीजी प्रतिदिन डायरी पढ़कर उस पर अपने हस्ताक्षर करते थे। आज की डायरी पर हस्ताक्षर करते हुए गांधीजी ने लिखा,कातने की गति का हिसाब लिखा जाए। मन में आए हुए विचार लिखे जाएं। जो-जो पढ़ा हो, उसकीटिप्पणी लिखी जाए। जिसने जो पढ़ा हो, वह लिखा जाए। ऐसा करने से पढ़ा हुआ कितना पच गया है, यह मालूम हो जाएगा, जो'वगैरह' का उपयोग नहीं होना चाहिए। डायरी में 'वगैरह' शब्द के लिए कोई स्थान नहीं है" जिसने जो पढ़ा हो, वह लिखा जाए। ऐसा करने से पढ़ा हुआ कितना पच गया है, यह मालूम हो जाएगा, जो बातें हुई हों वे लिखी जाए। मनु ने अपनी गलती का अहसास किया और डायरी विधा की पवित्रता को समझा। गांधीजी ने पुनः मनु से कहा-"डायरी लिखना आसान कार्य नहीं है। यह इबादत करने जैसी विधा है। हमें शुद्ध व सच्चे रूप से प्रत्येक छोटी-बड़ी घटना को निष्पक्ष रूप से लिखना चाहिए चाहे कोई बात हमारे विरुद्ध ही क्यों न जा रही हो। इससे हममेंसच्चाई स्वीकार करने की शक्ति प्राप्त होगी। गांधीजी ने 'वगैरह' शब्द पर अपनी आपत्ति क्यों जताई?
