The correct Answer is:

Ozone is used to purify water `rarr` Ozone kills bacteria, cysts, fungi, mold, parasites, viruses, contaminates etc. It is one of the effective way of eliminating microorganism in the water. Ozone also oxidizes toxins and odours. `O_3` is most effective oxidant (secondary to `F_2` ). It inactivates and oxidizes organic matter, contaminates, pesticides, viruses and bacteria faster than chlorine. `O_3` do not form TMH which have unpleasant odour and are also carcinogenic. `O_3` is very good biocide. Ozone also absorb UV radiation.
