A

Behaves like a near ideal solution

B

Obeys Raoult’s law

C

Shows a negative deviation from Raoult’s law

D

The correct Answer is:
D

Ethanol molecules are held together by strong hydrogen bonding. On adding acetone, the acetone molecules get in between the molecules of ethanol thus breaking the hydrogen bonds. As the resulting solution has weak intermolecular attraction, the escaping tendency of ethanol and acetone molecules from the solution increases. Consequently the vapour pressure of the solution is greater than the vapour pressure as expected from Raoult’s law.
