In Friedel-Craft’s reaction, an electrophile attacks on benzene ring. Thus, higher the electron density on benzene ring, more readily the reaction will take place. Thus presence of electron donating group will increase the reactivity and presence of electron attracting group will decrease the reactivity towards Friedel-Craft’s reaction. Thus the most reactive is toluene.
