The correct Answer is:
C

Development of similar adaptive functional structures in unrelated groups of organisms is called adaptive convergence. e.g. wings of insect, bird and bat show marked convergent evolution. When convergent evolution is found in closely related species, it is called “Parallel evolution”. Example: development of running habit in deer (2-toed) and horse (1-toed) with two vestigial splint bones.

Parallel lines

Prove that the segment joining the middle points of two non-parallel sides of a trapezium is parallel to the parallel sides and half of their sum.

Parallel lines___

Parallel rays two rays are parallel if the corresponding lines determined by them are parallel. In other words two rays in the same plane are parallel if they do not intersect each other even if extended indefinitely beyond their initial points.

The perpendicular distance between the two parallel sides is 15m . difference of the parallel sides is 16m find the length of the parallel sides

The area of a trapezium is 105cm. If one of the parallel sides is 28 cm and the distance between the parallel sides is 5 cm, find the length of the other parallel side.

Examples: Prove that the segment joining the middle points of two non parallel sides od a trapezim is parallel to the parallel sides and half of their sum.

In a trapezium ABCD, AB is parallel to CD. If E is midpoint of side AD and a line drawn from point E, parallel to the parallel sides cuts BC at F then
