A

RuBP carboxylase

B

PEP carboxylase

C

RuBP carboxylase and PEP carboxylase

D

PGA synthase

Text Solution

The correct Answer is:
C

Carboxylation is the addition of carbon dioxide to an acceptor. Photosynthetic carboxylation requires ribulose 1, 5 bisphosphates or RUBP as an acceptor of carbon dioxide and RUBP carboxylase oxygenase as an enzyme in C3 plants. In C4 plants initial fixation of `CO_2` occuring in mesophyll cells and its primary acceptor is phosphoenolpyruvate which combines within the presence of PEP carboxylase to form oxaloacetate.
