Study the following information carefully and answer the given questions. In a school 4 students A, B, C and D appeared in an English examination which is consist of 15 short and 4 long questions are asked. Each of short question carry 5 marks and each of long questions carry 10 mark and for a spelling error 0.5 mark is deducted. For not attempting a question, zero marks is awarded. In the English exam, A answered (x + 6) short questions, x long questions and did (2x + 10) spelling errors. Ratio of number of spelling errors made by A and B is 8 : 3. Total marks scored by D is 86. Ratio of short and long questions answered by B In the English exam is 5 : 1 and he scored total 102 marks. C scored 35 marks more in short questions than long questions except spelling errors and the number of spelling errors made by C is equal to the difference of the number of spelling errors made by A and B. Number of short questions answered by D is average of that answered by A and B. Percentage of number of long questions answered among all the question answered by D is 20% . Average of the number of spelling errors made by all four students A, B, C and D is 10. Each student attempts integral number of short as well as long questions. Average number of short questions answered by A, B, C and D is 11.75, then the total marks scored by C in the English exam is

Study the following information carefully and answer the questions given below: An organisation wants to recruit Management Trainees. Following are the criteria for such recruitment. The candidate mustbe- (A) a graduate in any discipline with at least 65 percent marks. (B) above 24 years and not above 30 years of age as on 01.11.2004. (C) having a postgraduate degree/ diploma in Management or have completed ICWA/CA/CS with at least 55 percent marks. (D) having an experience of 0-2 years. (E) ready to be on probation for one year. If a candidate satisfies all the criteria EXCEPT- (i) at (C) above, but is an engineer with minimum 70 percent marks his/ her case is to be referred to AGM- PA. (ii) at (D) above, but has secured at least 70 percent marks in post graduation his/her case is to be referred to the GM-PA. Based on the above criteria and information provided below, make a decision in each case. You are not to assume anything. If the data given are not enough to take a decision mark your answer as 'data inadequate'. These cases are given to you as on 31.10.2004. Vanitha Mittal is a Commerce graduate with 68 percent marks and she completed her MBA with 70 percent marks in 2003. Her date of birth is 30th August, 1980 and she is ready to work on probation of one year.

ABC Ltd Company wants to recruit Trainee Officers in its IT department. Following are the criteria for selection : The candidate must (i) be an engineering graduate in IT or Computer Science or Electronics or Electronics and Telecommunication with minimum of 60% marks. (ii) have secured at least 75% marks in Secondary (SSC) and at least 80% marks in Higher Secondary (HSC) examination. (iii) be not less than 21 years and not more than 26 years of age as on 1.7.2007. (iv) have cleared the selection test with at least 50% marks. (v) have scored at least 45% marks in interview. However, if a candidate satisfies all the above mentioned criteria EXCEPT- I(A) at (ii) above, but has scored at least 70% marks in engineering, his/her case may be referred to GM-IT. (B) at ( v) above, but has scored at least 40% marks in interview and 60% marks in selection test, his/her case may be referred to the VP. In each question below, details of one candidate is provided. You have to take an appropriate decision based on the information provided and the criteria indicated above and mark your answer as one of the choices given below. You are not to assume anything other than the information provided in each question. All these cases are given to you as on 1.7.2007. Sharvari passed IT Engineering degree with 76% marks in 2005. She had scored 78% marks both in SSC and HSC. She completed 25 years of age on 16th June 2007. She has performed well in the selection test and interview and secured more than 60% marks at both the stages.
