Following are the conditions for the selection of an Economist in an organisation : To be eligible for selection, the candidate must : I. be a postgraduate in Economics with minimum 55% m arks. II. have secured minimum 65% marks at graduation in any discipline. Ill. have completed 21 years of age but not more than 28 years of age as on 1.4.2006. IV. have at least one year's post-qualification experience of working as an officer. V. have cleared the selection test with at least 50% marks. However, if a candidate satisfies all the above-mentioned conditions EXCEPT - (i) at IV above, but is PhD in Economics, the case may be referred to the Vice-President (VP) of the organisation. (ii) at I above, but has secured minimum 50% marks in post graduation and has at least 2 years of post- qualification experience, the case is to be referred to the Board of Directors. In each of the following questions details of one candidate are given as regards his/ her candidature. You have to read the inform ation provided and decide his/ her status based on the conditions given above and the information provided. You are not to assume anything other than the information provided in each question. All these cases are given to you as on 1.4.2006. Now read each question and decide which of the following courses of action you would take in each case and mark your answers accordingly. Nikita has done BCom with 72% marks and has done MA in Economics securing 63% marks. She has been working as a Finance Officer for last 2 years. Her date of birth is 24.12.1978.

Following are the conditions for selecting Assistant manager- H.R. in an organistion. The candidate must : (i) be atleast 40 years and not more than 50 years old as on 01-05-2010. (ii) be postgraduate in H.R. with atleast 60% marks. (iii) have post qualification work experience of at least 15 years out of which at least 5 years as Senior manager- H.R. in an organisation. (iv) have successfully implemented HR-system in his/her organisation sometime during last 3 years. (v) have secured atleast 45% marks in the selection process. In case of a candidate who satisfies all the conditions EXCEPT : (A) ii - above 50% in P.G. and at least 65% in selection process, the case is to be referred to Executive Director. (B) iii - above but atleast 12 years post-qualification work experience out of which at least 8 years as Senior Manager- H.R. in an organisation, the case is to be referred to Chairman.Prabir Sengupta was born on 8^(th) May 1963. He has seemed 65 per cent marks in the selection process. He has been working for the past fifteen years in an organization out of which twelve years as Senior Manager-HR after completing his post-graduation in HR with 55 percent marks. He has successfully implemented HR system in his organization during the last two years.

Study the given information carefully and answer the following questions. Four students i.e. A, B, C and D appeared for written and practical examinations of year 2019-20 The information given below is known: Total Maximum Marks = Maximum marks of written Exam + Maximum marks of practical Exam Total Maximum weighted score = Maximum marks in written exam xx weighted % + Maximum marks in practical exam xx weighted % Weighted score = Marks obtained in written exam xx weighted % + Marks obtained in practical exam xx weighted % Weighted percentage of written exam is 60% and that of practical exam is 40%. Also, maximum marks of written exam is 80 and that of practical exam is 60 It is given that: Total weighted score of A is 52 . Total weighted score of B is 52 and B obtained 55 marks in practical exam. C obtained 50 marks in practical exam. Marks obtained by D in written examination is 70 and D obtained 75% marks in practical exam. If ratio of marks scored by a 5th student X in the written exam and practical exam is 5 : 3 and the weighted score of X is 52.5, then what is the sum of the marks scored by X in written and practical exams?

There are ten exams to be conducted from 9 to 13 of a month. There are two time slots for every day, morning slot and evening slot. The maximum marks of these exams are from 70 to 160. The maximum marks of every subject are unique. The time durations of the exams is from the range of 1hr to 5hr. The time duration is also unique for each subject. The subjects are Math, English, Physics, Bio, Chemistry, Economices, History, Home Science, Geography and Accounts. The first exam is of math and of 2hrs. The time duration of last exam is 15 minutes more than first exam. The exam of English is of 80 marks and on the same day of the exam of math. Total marks of the exams of first day are 180 marks. The exam of 130 marks and 90 marks are on the same day. The exam of chemistry is not of 90 marks. The exam of geography is of 4^(1//2) hrs. and on the last day. The exam of home science is on an even date and of least marks. The exam of chemistry is before exam of economics. The exam of 150 marks is of maximum time duration. The exam of economics is of economics is of least time duration. The sum of time duration of economics and history is of 5hrs. The exam of Chemistry is of 3^(1//2) hrs. duration. The maximum marks of physics is 30 marks less than that of biology. The maximum marks of 4^(1//2) hrs. exam is 30 marks more than marks of accounts. History is of maximum marks. The maximum marks of home-science are least of all. Which two exams are scheduled for 10^(th) of the month?

An examination was held during the 2 weeks of April 3rd-Sunday to 16th Saturday. There was 1 paper for the six subjects - Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, English and Hindi. Only 1 paper per day No exam on Saturdays and Sundays and Holiday on April 5th. Only 3 exams were there in a week. Chemistry was before Biology and Maths was on the next day of Hindi. The day on which the paper of biology and maths were held was the same, while that for chemistry and physics was also the same. There was no exam for 3 days between Physics and the exam prior to it.
