An inflated balloon ful of air goes down...

An inflated balloon ful of air goes down slowly (becomes smaller and smaller slowly) even though the knot at the mouth of the balloon is airtight. And after a week all the air has escaped from the balloon. Explain how the air particles got out of the balloon.

When a balloon filled with air released so that the air escapes, the balloon shoots off into the air. Explain would the same happen if the balloon were released in a vacuum?

A ballon has 2 g of air . A small hole is pierced into it . The air comes out with relative velocity 4 m/s . If the balloon shrinks completely in 2.5 s , the average force acting on the balloon is

A balloon has 5 g of air. A small hole is pierced into it. The air escapes at a uniform rate with a velocity of 4 cm/s. If the balloon shrinks completely in 2.5 s, then the average force acting on the balloon is

A spherical balloon of radius 10 feet is in the open air. If angle of elevation of centre of the balloon from a point on the ground is 45^(@) and spherical balloon subtens on angle of 45^(@) on that point then how high is the centre of the balloon from the ground ?

A conducting bolloon of the radius a is charged to potential V_(0) and held at a large height above the earth ensures that charge distribution on the surface of the balloon remains unaffected by the presence of the earth. It is connected to the earth through a resistance R and a value in the balloon is opened . The gas inside the balloon escapes from value and the size of the balloon decreases. The rate of decrease in radius of the balloon is controlled in such a manner that potential of the balloon remains constant. Assume the electric permittivity of the surrounding air equals to that of free space (epsilon_(0)) and charge cannot leak to the surrounding air. The rate at which radius r of the balloon changes with time is best represented by the equation

A balloon has 8g of air A small hole is pierced into it The air escapes at a unifrom rate of 7m//s If the ballon shrinks in 5.6 s then the average force acting on the ballon is.

A hot- air balloon consists of a basket, one passenger, and some carge. Let the total mass be M. Even though there is an upward lift force on the balloon, the balloon is initially acceleration downwards at a rate of g//3 . (a) Draw a free-body diagram for the descending balloon. (b) Find the upward lift force in terms of the initial total weight Mg. (c ) The passenger notices that he is heading straight for a waterfall and decides he needs to go up. What fraction of the total weight must he drop overboard so that the balloon accelerates upward at a rate of g//2 ? Assume that the upward lift force remains the same.
