If `(p+q)t h` term of a G.P. is `aa n d` its `(p-q)t h` term is `bw h e r ea ,b in R^+` , then its pth term is `sqrt((a^3)/b)` b. `sqrt((b^3)/a)` c. `sqrt(a b)` d. none of these

Text Solution

Given that
`T_(p+q)=a,T_(p-q)=b`
Now, (p-q),p,(p+q) are in A.P..
So, terms `T_(p-q),T_(p)andT_(p+q)` terms are equidistant.
Therefore,`T_(p-q),T_(p)andT_(p+q)` are in G.P..
`thereforeT_(p)^(2)=T_(p-q)xxT_(p+q)=ab`
`rArrT_(p)=sqrt(ab)`
