O is more electronegative (E.N. =3.5) than H(E.N.=2.1) , therefore , O-H bond is polar. Now in water molecule, there are two polar O-H bonds which are held together at an angle of `104.5^(@)` . Due to the resultant of these two dipoles, water molecular is polar and has a dipole moment of 1.84 D.
