Schizogony is an asexual reproduction of plasmodium (malarial parasite), in which schizont is formed from the human blood sporozoites, which enter the liver cells. The sporozoite grows in size to become a rounded schizont called crytozoites. They merozoites are sexual haploid forms. The host liver cells rupture to liberate the cryptomerozoites into the liver sinusoids.
