Filarial worm (W. bancrofti) lives in the lymphatic system of amn, where it blocks the flow of lyph causing a condition known as elephantiasis. In this condition, the limbs or other lymph glands are lymph passage grow to an enormous size.Due to lymphatic obstruction, lymph cannot get back into circulatory system and accumulates into organs and causes them to swell or enlarge.
