In Annelida , four pairs of flask-shaped sacs , each with a diverticulum for storage of sperms and large ampulla for their nourishment is present . Spermathecae occur in 6-9th segments . They receive sperms during copulation .
As cross-fertilisation occurs in earthworm , the sperms of one worm get transferred to spermathecae of the other .
