Glochidium larva is the characteristic feature of Mollusca . It is found in the members of the class - Pelecypoda (Unio and Pinctada) , but absent in Cephalopda (Sepia) .
This is because in Sepia , the development is direct thus , no metamorphosis takes place and the larval stage in absent .
