In 1972, as per SJ singer and GI, Nicholson model, membrane is assumed to be 'fluid' because of the movements and packing variation of its lipid components. The lipids themselves give the membrane its basic structure and its relative impermeability to water soluble molecules. the mosaic is the intricate composite of proteins and lipids of the membrane.
