The blood pressure in glomerular capillaries becomes very high, so that there is continuous process of ultrafiltration. Glomerular Filtrate (GF) contains a large amount of water and other dissolved substances such as urea, uric acid, creatinine, amino acids, glucose, sodium, potassium, vitamins, etc. About 120 mL GF is produced per minute, i.e. approximately 170 L filtrate is produced in 24 hours.
