The correct Answer is:
A

Sensory nerve fibres conduct nerve impulses from the peripheral tissues to the central Nervous System (CNS) to evoke sensations like touch, pain, heat, cold, taste, vision and hearing. If a nerve contains only motor fibres, it is called a motor nerve. Its sole role is to conduct nerve impulses from the CNS to some muscles or glands to control their activities.
Nerves arising from the spinal cord are neither called sensory nerves nor motor nerves, instead they are called mixed nerves because these nerves carry simultaneously both sensory and motor nerve fibres and serve both sensory and motor function.
