The best Indian breeds are found in dried part of the country. There are 26 breeds of cattle, but the milk production is very poor. Number of buffaloes is one third of corws, but their milk yield and hardiness is better. Buffalo milk is superior to cow's milk in fat content as well as minerals etc.
