Minisatellities or Variable Number of Tandem Repeats (VNTRs) is used in DNA fingerprinting technique. In VNTR, satellite DNA as probe is used that shows very high degree of polymorphism. The technique used Southern blot hybridisation using radiolabelled VNTR as a probe.
