(a) x-intercept is -2
(b) y-intercept is `1/2`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Slope `=m=1/2`
(a) x-intercept is -2.
`therefore` Line passes throug the point `(-2,0)`
`therefore` Equation of the line is
`y-0=1/2(x+2)`
`implies2y=x+2`
`impliesx-2t+2=0.`
(b) y-initercept is `1/2`
`therefore` Line passes through the point `(0,(1)/(2))`
`therefore` Equation of the line is
`(y-(1)/(2))=1/2(x-0)`
`impliesx-2y+1=0.`
