Find the point at which the tangent to the curve `y=sqrt(4x-3)-2` is vertical ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Slope of tangent = derivative of f(x)
`=(dy)/(dx)=(2)/(sqrt(4x-3))`
`:'` Tangent is vertical
` :. (dy)/(dx)` is not defined
`:. 4x-3=0`
`x=(3)/(4)`
For ` x=(3)/(4), y=-2 `
So required point will be `((3)/(4),-2)`
