Find the vector equation of tha plane wh...

Find the vector equation of tha plane which passes through the point (3, 2, -3) and perpendicular
to a line with direction ratios (1, 2, -1).

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

We know that vector equation of a plane passing through a point `A(veca)` and perpendicular to a
normal vector `vecn` is given by
`(vecr-veca)cdot vecn=0`
so equation of plane in (vector form) will be
`(vecr-3hati-2hatj+3hatk) cdot(hati+2hatj-hatk)=0`
