Does the number of moles of reaction products increase , decrease or remain same when each of the folllowing equilibria is subjected to a decrease by increasing the volume ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Applying Le Chatelier's principle , on decreasing the pressure , equilibrium shifts to the direction in which pressure increases , i.e., number of moles of gaseous substantces is more . Thus , moles of reaction products will ( a) increase (b) decrease (c) remain same ` ( :' n_(p) = n_(r) "gaseous ")`
