Analgesics are neurologically active drugs which reduce or abolish pain without causing impairment of consciousness, mental confusion, incoordination or paralysis or some other disturbance or disorder of the nervous system. For example, aspirin, paracetamol, naproxen, ibuprofen, diclofenac sodium, etc.
