Sexually transmitted diseases caused by
(i) Virus: (1) AIDS (Acquired lmmuno Deficiency Syndrome), (2) Genital warts
(ii) Bacteria : (1) Gonorrhoea, (2) Syphilis
Transmission of such diseases can be prevented by the following ways:
- Screening tests for blood donors
- Mutually faithful monogamous relationships
- Educating people in high risk groups
- Using condoms,etc.
